Massage Therapy Available:
(Most massages will be a combination of the following):
Neuromuscular/Medical Massage (Therapeutic/Sports Therapy): A type of soft tissue therapy designed to relieve pain and return injured tissues to normal function. Specializing in neck, shoulder, low-back, knee and hip pain.
Lymphatic Drainage Massage: A gentle form of massage that reduces swelling caused by fluid buildup. It can help treat lymphedema as well as post-surgical swelling, edema, sinus congestion, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, lipedema and chronic venous insufficiency.
MPS and Scar Therapy: Microcurrent Point Stimulation or Functional Acupuncture are therapeutic protocols combining acupuncture, osteopathy, and neural therapy with microcurrent. MPS has been a remarkable success in the fight against chronic pain and reduction of scar tissue.
Trigger Points: A healing technique based on the principle of free and uninterrupted energy flow. Trigger points are areas of hypersensitivity in a muscle caused by overstrain. They cause pain, fatigue, and weakness in the muscles. Blood and nutrients are released in that part of the muscle, and the muscle spindle can relax.
Cupping and Decompression Therapy: A technique that uses negative pressure, rather than tissue compression, for superior bodywork that is easily accomplished for pain, stubborn conditions, repetitive strains, inflammation, toxicity, chronic fatigue, digestive problems, and other issues confronted daily.
Percussion Therapy: A device used to accelerate the growth and repair of tissues by using concentrated, rapid, short-duration pulses deep into the tissues of the body. This increases blood flow to areas causing pain relief and increasing range of motion and function.
Himalayan Sea Salt and Hot Stones: The stone massage involves the placement of several heated stones to the body for the purpose of pain relief, relaxation, and muscle therapy.
Deep Tissue/Swedish/Thai Massage: Deep tissue massage is similar to Swedish massage, but it goes farther. Deep Tissue massage targets the inner layers of your muscles, tendons, and fascia (dense connective tissue). It uses many of the same stroking and kneading movements as Swedish massage, but there is far more pressure. Thai massage is a therapeutic stretching technique that helps relax and lengthen muscles.
